It’s with great pleasure and honor to be invited by Dr Jeannie Yi, CEO of DYF Entertainment and co producer of Family Film Awards to be in the production team for the TV Series “Main Street”. I have never taken part in all aspects of the whole process of shooting a TV series and this is a totally wonderful immersion in a phantasmagorical adventure and experience !

Main Street TV series

It's a remarkable journey, and "Main Street" feels like walking into a storybook come to life. Picture this: I wasn’t even part of the audition process that day. Yet I emerged from the hustle and bustle of the Hilton Hotel lobby to play a key supporting role.
It was a pleasure working with Dr. Yi and masterful director Scott Rosenfeldt. Their guidance acts like a compass, guiding us through the labyrinth of creativity. The set was buzzing with energy as we shot against the bustling backdrop of Flushing. Every scene, every line is filled with passion and dedication, creating an almost surreal tapestry of storytelling.
Thinking back on it is like recalling a vivid dream. Main Street is more than just a TV show; It’s a symphony of dreams and determination. The support from all walks of life is like a tide of encouragement, pushing us forward.
Hats off to Dream Stage's "Main Street," to Dr. Yi, to director Scott Rosenfeldt, and to every soul who poured their heart and soul into this adventure. May our stories resonate widely and inspire others to pursue their dreams with unwavering passion!

Living in America, we are taught to be dreamers. From the the self made business men and women we read about in news articles to the determined and passionate protagonists we watch on tv, we are subliminally encouraged to not only dream big but also follow our dreams.
On the flip side, we are also taught that making your dreams reality is hard work, that life will get in the way and it’s up to you to make time for your dreams. And even then, most dreams can’t be realized by one person alone.
My dream is to be an actress. Despite the years of acting classes, this is the first time I’ve said my dream out loud - in the past it felt solely in the realm of daydreams that it seemed pointless and embarrassing to verbalize it. I am so very grateful to Main Street for… everything. For allowing me one step closer to my dream. For giving me the confidence to even say my dream out loud. Working on this project, being surrounded by people all striving towards their dreams, it felt like my soul was being recharged.

Main Street is about the Chinese American community in Flushing, but the cast and crew are as diverse as the country it was shot in: Alex, our incredible make up artist, is from Thailand; Caroline, our meticulous director of photography is French; Jessie, our super hero of a wardrobe stylist, has Korean lineage. On set you could often hear different languages shouted back and forth, and yet, there never felt to be a disconnect, everyone seemed to have a silent understanding for each other, especially the crew, who were on the same page every second of every day.
The character I had the privilege of being is May, a 33 year old Chinese American who owns a successful business but dreams for something else. The major conflict in her life stems from the relationship between her and her mother, Joy. I think the mother and daughter story is a story about immigrants and first generations - in simpler words, about generation gap. As a first gen born of immigrant parents myself, this is a story near and dear to my heart. Indeed there can never be enough stories that try to bridge different generations; that illustrate how every generation has their own battles to fight and milestones to achieve and how we should be a little more understanding to our own family. The creators of Main Street are brilliant and worldly people and I eagerly await to see how May will develop as the story goes on.
I can’t wait to see the pilot! Amanda, our editor, has her work cut out for her!

Actor: JING BAO (Bao Jing) Role: Nina
Bao Jing currently lives in New York. Before coming to the United States, he was a teacher of design and art, with the professional title of associate professor.
I am a painter who has taught at Chinese universities for more than 10 years. Before coming to the United States, I was a design and art teacher with the title of associate professor. I own my own design company. I heard that Dr. Yi is going to invest in a TV series called [Main Street]. Scott Rosenfelt, the famous director of [Home Alone], will arrive at the audition site on August 3 to personally select the actors. In order to meet this great Hollywood director, I rushed to the scene and actively participated in the actor audition. Unexpectedly, after several rounds of actor audition procedures, I finally officially became one of the main cast members of the crew. Unknowingly, I really Entering the stage of cooperating with Dr. Yi and the great director Scott to film a TV series...
Nowadays, the first episode of the Hollywood family film and television series "Main Street" that has excited the entire Chinese community and actively participated and supported the entire Chinese community was filmed in New York and successfully completed. Hello everyone, my name is Shirley. I am very honored to join the cast of the large-scale American drama "Main St". The preparations for this drama began in August this year. After intense first and second rounds of auditions, more than 200 actors and enthusiasts participated. The entire Chinese community was boiling. In this drama, I played a warm and powerful character, and I had to challenge a crying scene that I had never tried before. On the day of filming, the scene was packed with onlookers. The temperature in New York was very low that day. My co-stars and I filmed for more than 5 hours in the cold wind. We were shivering from the cold and had runny noses.
Because it was shot on location, the sound of various cars, buses, pedestrians, and airplanes overhead caused interference, so I had to reshoot it many times. At this moment, I deeply understand how difficult it is to be an actor. How to get into the character and emotions over and over again in the shortest possible time is a big challenge. The director is very strict and pays no attention to every detail. This is undoubtedly a great improvement for our acting skills. I would like to thank the director and Huayu China for always giving me encouragement and affirmation, as well as every member of the team, from costumes, props, lighting and makeup, to the camera crew, for their professionalism, seriousness and meticulousness in every position. It is an honor for me to be able to participate in such a high-quality Hollywood shooting team to hone my acting skills and improve my abilities. I would like to pay tribute to every artist! "Main Street" will be broadcast simultaneously on Net Flix, Apple TV, and iQiyi! We must tell the story of the Chinese people out loud!

From the first time I learned that Dr. Yi was going to invest in a TV series called [Main Street], the famous [Home Alone] director Scott Rosenfelt would arrive at the audition site to personally select the actors on August 3rd. I knew it very well. I remember that I had to catch a plane for a business trip to Florida that afternoon. I arrived at the audition site early in the morning and caught a plane as soon as the audition was over. I was very excited when I received the notice for my second casting interview. I was working in the United States at the time. I remember that after serious communication with Olivia, the crew, I immediately bought a plane ticket back to New York to prepare for another round. audition.
I think this has been my dream since I was a little girl. As a Chinese woman in the United States, I remember that I had to catch a flight back to the United States as soon as the re-election was over, haha. On the day of the shooting, due to some reasons, the director finally made changes to my participation. From preparation in the early morning to the last part of waiting for the flight, I deeply felt that from the creation to the completion of a film and television work, every role, every job Every aspect of the production is not easy. Every actor and crew member is working hard and happy.
"Main Street" has "exploded" the entire Chinese community. I particularly admire Dr. Yi and the original core team of the crew. They are talented, have ideas, have courage, and passion. They lead the entire Chinese community to create history together and have a lot of fun together. ! Finally, I sincerely wish the TV series "Main Street" a success! Thumbs up to all participants and supporters!

These days, my oldest grandmother is still living in the joyful atmosphere of filming "Main Street"! I can't forget the busy crew of our crew, and the family and friends who worked hard to rehearse in order to play their roles well. What moved and admired me the most was our great Dr. Yi and director Scott, who worked hard to make the film. It’s a good movie. They worked hard and took care of everyone on the crew. Their spirit inspired us all to successfully complete the filming of the first episode. It’s really admirable and touching! This experience is really warm and happy, and I will never forget it! I sincerely wish all the members of our crew good health and happiness! And we look forward to all of us working together again to create greater glories!

The ten-episode TV series "Main Street" that is currently being talked about in New York's Chinese community has been completed. The first person to praise this drama is the producer Dr. Yi Jinsheng. Dr. Yi has worked in the Wall Street workplace for nearly 30 years and is also a famous writer. She is also the rotating president and co-producer of the Hollywood Family Movie Awards. The ten-episode TV series "Main Street" she wrote personally was so good that it impressed the great Hollywood director Mr. Scott Rosenfeldt, who personally Participate in screenwriting and directing.
As one of the people in charge of the "Main Street" crew, I saw with my own eyes Dr. Yi Jinsheng's charisma, her level, and her serious attitude towards work. She was always present at the scene to direct, and the Hollywood filming team, They are also very united and fully carry forward the spirit of continuous work. They do not complain about hardship or tiredness. There are endless touching stories. For example, there is a woman in the crew who is pregnant and still sticks to her job and works hard. It's very touching. There are also some young actors who stayed with the crew for more than ten hours and were very well-behaved and obedient. They were also very understanding during the filming. The little guys basically got it done in one or two times, which is very touching. , although the filming is over, the scenes with the director, Dr. Yi and the extras are still vivid in my mind, and none of the filming staff complained about being tired.
Among the volunteers, there are college students from prestigious universities, university professors, doctors, civil servants, billionaires, chamber of commerce presidents, businessmen, including the prince of the Middle East - the famous filmmaker Dr. Chirini. In short Everyone has only one wish, which is to complete the filming task of Dr. Haoyi's script. This is a process that reflects the struggle of our second generation and the Chinese people. Now that it has just been completed, this drama has received a strong response from the society. People are looking forward to it meeting the audience as soon as possible and giving them a sneak peek! I congratulate you on the success of the filming of "Main Street"!

I have been away from home and abroad for decades, but my life and work have never left New York, more specifically Flushing! Flushing is a magical place, and it is also the landing place for all Chinese immigrants who come to the United States to seek a new life. It is here as a starting point to radiate in all directions, start a new life, new development, and move to a bigger stage! Lucy Yuan (right) and "Main Street" producer Dr. Yi Jinsheng (left) As a lover of art, media and music, I never thought that my life would have any connection with movies, and not only Hollywood! The Family Movie Awards have more possibilities to show our Chinese lives to mainstream American society! And "Main Street" is the first TV series to truly reflect the real struggle of the lives of first- and second-generation Chinese immigrants. With the participation and direction of the famous Hollywood producer Scott Rosenfelt, the struggling life of us Chinese has become more vivid. A channel for Hollywood and the world to see and take notice of!
It was really an unexpected surprise to participate in the filming of this TV series. Originally, I just wanted to report on the publicity and promotion of this TV series, but with such an opportunity, I participated in the first interview and the second interview. , and I was very surprised to be chosen by the director to participate in the role of Terry, a mother! Although the mother's role was ultimately played by an experienced actor, I was chosen to play a young grandmother! But very happy! I re-edited my trip back to China and took part in the filming against all odds! On the day of filming, which lasted for more than ten hours from morning to night, I saw the hard work of the film crew, director, Dr. Yi and all team members💪 and my role also changed from a young grandmother to a mother with lines. ! I was particularly surprised!
This is really an unforgettable experience and process, and I also saw the unity and hard work among the Chinese. There is a saying that working together can break gold! We Chinese do not lack wisdom. What we need is for the outside world to hear our voices and see our true strength. With the concerted efforts of the Hollywood team and all our Chinese teams, our "Main Street" TV series will definitely be a hit. Brilliance! The power of the Chinese will definitely be seen by the American mainstream! This is not only our Main Street in New York, but also the Main Street of the United States and the world! I believe that every ethnic group in every place has its own story. Let the world see our story, hear our story, and understand the power of us Chinese! Finally, I wish the TV series "Main Street" a successful success and huge ratings!

The moment when the engagement cake was lit in the plot is still vivid in my mind. I played the role of the groom, and I needed to express anger and depression through emotions and actions. At that time, I remember that I always laughed when I had no filming experience. The director Scott personally guided me. Throughout the day, several scenes had failed many times, which made me experience the difficulty of being an actor. I still had mixed feelings after the filming ended in the evening. But when I think about the experience of being on the set of Main Street, it was an incredibly magical moment and a treasure trove in my life. I would also like to thank my friend Elvis for his many recommendations.
I learned a lot working with Dr. Yi and the masterful director Scott. Their guidance is like a compass, guiding us through the labyrinth of creativity. The set was buzzing with energy as we shot against the bustling backdrop of Flushing.
"Main Street" is not only a TV series, but also a symphony of Chinese people's hard work, dreams and determination overseas. The support from all walks of life is like a tide of encouragement, pushing us forward.
Pay tribute to "Main Street" for providing the stage of dreams, pay tribute to Dr. Yi, pay tribute to director Scott Rosenfeldt, and pay tribute to every soul who poured their heart and soul into this adventure. We hope our stories can resonate widely and inspire more people to pursue their dreams with unwavering enthusiasm!

The August 3rd audition for "Main Street" made us very excited. My friends and I all wore elegant and beautiful cheongsams to participate in the audition. It was really a pleasure! Thanks to Dr. Jeannie Jinsheng and the famous Hollywood director Scott for filming this magical TV series for us.
I was so excited and honored when I was first asked to play the role of a grandmother in the new TV series Main Street. As someone who came to the United States ten years ago, I can’t wait to be a part of telling meaningful U.S.-China stories. Growing up in China and living in a close-knit family, I have always valued the importance of community and cultural connections.
When I first set foot on the vibrant set, I immediately felt welcomed into the television “family.” Watching the dramatic scenes of intergenerational relationships between mothers, daughters and grandmothers unfold warmed my heart. Being surrounded by such loving, cross-generational performances brought back fond memories of times gone by. I'm grateful for any wisdom or insight I can offer from my own life experiences to enrich the portrayal of these characters.
One day on set, I found myself learning as much as I wished I could contribute. Watching the actors bring their characters to life with skillful performances only increased my admiration for the diversity and talent of this group. I especially appreciated the opportunity to speak with young actors and to understand their perspectives on balancing tradition and modern life. These exchanges make me more optimistic about our culture’s place in a changing America.
Now, as filming wraps up, I feel grateful for everything this role has provided me—a sense of purpose, cultural pride, and renewed hope. Main Street connected me to the Chinese community here in a new way, it felt like a big family. I believe shows like this can promote appreciation and understanding between different groups, especially now. Most importantly, I would be delighted if, through my small contribution, this series could inspire or empower others as much as it did myself. I will always cherish these memories.
——Jiahui Xiong

What an exciting moment this is. As the Chinese actor for this project, I personally witnessed and participated in another masterpiece directed and created by Scott, the director of the famous Hollywood movie "Home Alone": reflecting the development history of three generations of Chinese immigrants in the United States (1920- 2023)'s first modern drama series was born here!
We will join hands as witnesses and participants in history to carve out this glorious and great milestone. Many outstanding Chinese people, including 6 cute and charming mixed-race children, lead hundreds of millions of viewers around the world on a wonderful and unforgettable journey of immigrant life in the United States. This is not only a rich visual feast, but also a wonderful journey that baptizes the soul. We are witnessing with our own eyes: Overseas Chinese immigrants use their hard-working hands, hard work and infinite wisdom to open up their own prosperous world and create a more united, inclusive, brilliant and beautiful new era!

"Views of Shooting on Main Street" ——People are great because they have ideas, and ideas are great because they are recorded and passed down.
The filming of the first phase of "Main Street" has ended. As a participant, I couldn't calm down for a long time and was moved and thought about it. Since the reform and opening up in the 1980s, millions of Chinese have poured into the United States, the most developed technological country in the world, to study and live here. Almost all of them are elites, and almost everyone comes with tear-jerking stories. , because China was the poorest country in the world from the 1950s to the 1980s! As closed and depressed as North Korea is today. In the words of a famous poet, "The night gives us black eyes, but we use them to find light." The description is indeed appropriate.
Among them, some came here as singles and lived alone for several years, and their personalities have become incompatible with the people in China. Some have wives and children, and two world views conflict in the family. The eldest daughter has a personality, and the second daughter has a lifestyle. Conflicts arose at home. Mixed with misery.
Because China does not have a sound medical security system. Some parents go through all the trouble to come to the United States just to treat their children with the comprehensive medical system in the United States. Endless poignancy!
Dr. Jinsheng stepped forward and used movies to show the life of Chinese people in the United States during this era. His merits are immeasurable and he recorded these moments with film and television works. Let us still remember a group of Flushing strivers and those who strive for self-improvement hundreds of years from now. It's really touching.
On a lighter note, U.S. government statistics: In the 1980s, there were only over 800,000 Chinese in the United States. Most of them are Cantonese and Hong Kong people who came during the construction of the railway, and a few Taiwanese. By the end of 2022, there were already 5.3 million Chinese. Many entrepreneurs come here to invest with funds and work hard with universal values. It comes with a great fusion of Chinese excellent culture and American scientific and technological culture. There are also many soul-stirring stories. Among them there are many people who are talented, resourceful and financially strong. These people will become the backbone of the Chinese people in the era of internationalization, and they will be the ones who will make contributions in the future. These stories will be filmed in the future and become inspirational classics for the new generation of Chinese. It's meant to be remembered.
Thank you for your support and support.

A TV series called "Main Street" invested and filmed by Huayu China was directed by the famous American Hollywood director Scott Rosenfelt of the movie "Home Alone". On August 3rd, I arrived at the overseas actor audition site. As one of the live media reports on that day, I shared my thoughts and gains during the filming of the TV series "Main Street." During the filming of the TV series "Main Street", I had the honor to personally participate in it and witness the birth of this work that attracted the attention of the Chinese community. This work not only brings together an excellent cast of ABC mixed-race second- and third-generation actors, but also has a first-class professional film production team in New York, USA, to present to the audience a wonderful overseas Chinese mother-daughter and women's rights family film and television work.
First of all, the TV series "Main Street" deeply attracted me with its story background and plot describing the entrepreneurial efforts of overseas Chinese. Taking Main Street as the stage, this work tells the story of a Chinese family and shows the life process of the Chinese in a foreign country. During the filming process, the creative team kept improving every detail and strived to restore the true appearance of history. The scene layout, costumes and props are all done to the extreme, making the audience feel like they are in the Main Street of that year. During the filming process, I deeply realized the importance of teamwork. Under the personal guidance of the great director Scott, every shot was shot several times and strictly controlled. Every actor and every staff member gave their best and put in a lot of effort into this work. Director Scott Rosenfelt uses his unique perspective and shooting techniques to shoot every scene impressively.
At the same time, Huayu China provides a solid guarantee for the success of this work. Through this work, I realized the significance of film and television works. They can not only entertain the audience, but also convey the values of Chinese culture and overseas immigrants, allowing people to be inspired by them. The TV series "Main Street" conveys the spirit of perseverance, unity and friendship by showing the life of a Chinese family, allowing the audience to feel a strong resonance while enjoying the plot. Not only did I witness how an excellent team worked together to create a masterpiece, I also experienced the hardship and joy of artistic creation. This work made me realize the great charm of film and television works and how they influence and inspire audiences. It will lead to widespread influence overseas and inspire more Chinese people to pursue their dreams with unswerving enthusiasm! Looking forward, I hope to see more works with the depth and breadth of Main Street.
I believe that as the film and television industry continues to develop, more excellent directors, actors and production teams will emerge to bring more exciting works to the audience. At the same time, I also look forward to making continuous progress in my future study and work and contributing to the development of the film and television industry.
